Saturday, 9:00 am: Isotopes at Falcons

It was 3-3 after three innings of play, then the wheels fell off for the Falcons.

Isotopes 21, Falcons 11.

Saturday, 12:00 pm: Expos at Falcons

If the Falcons were able to win this game and hold the Expos to 9 or fewer runs, they'd have won the B Pool and punched their ticket to Sunday. Much like after a midnight trip to Taco Bell, the runs came easy for the Falcons. Already ahead 12-5 after four and a half innings, 13 of the first 14 batters scored in the bottom of the fifth to put this one away. Unfortunately, the Expos were able to put up five in the top of the sixth, and in the end, the Falcons lost the pool to the Isotopes on the fourth tie-breaker.

Falcons 28, Expos 10.

Crossover Elimination: Saturday, 3:00 pm: Hanet at Falcons

Here's what was written about last year's Hanet at Falcons crossover elimination game that happened on Saturday at 3pm:

"The thing with Hanet is, especially in the playoffs, they're like a box of chocolates: You never know what you're gonna get. Much has been written in this space about how Hanet has a disappointing regular season, mostly due to absenteeism because half their team coaches minor baseball and can't be at WMSPL games in the evenings. Then out of nowhere, everyone's available for the weekend in September when it all counts and they steamroll anyone unfortunate to get in their way. So hey, great news for the Falcons, that didn't happen. Hanet couldn't really get anything going with the bats, and scoring five runs isn't a winning formula. The Falcons' MAX6 in the fourth was enough. The Falcons haven't missed playing on Sunday since 2010."

In 2025, it was the polar opposite. Hanet had all the offence it needed by the end of the second inning, and the Falcons couldn't get anything going with the bats. And so, for the first time since 2010, the Falcons didn't play on Sunday.

Hanet 20, Falcons 7.

And so, in Barry Guerrero Jr's final season with the team, we failed to #WIFB. Barry was a faithful Falcon since joining the league in 2000, and only missed one season. Tears were shed in the parking lot after the game, though not because we didn't win the tournament, but because we're not going to have good ol' reliable Barry at games anymore.
