Another of baseball's meaningless statistics is that the Falcons cannot beat the Strom in the rain (you can look that up) and with a heavy rain falling in the early evening the omens were not good. But for a few brief hours, as the eye of the storm rolled over Whitby, the rains let up and the Falcons came out to play. The shortened and injured lineup of the Strom was no match on this night as the Falcons rolled up a 22 - 0 victory in an abbreviated game.
