assignment FALCONS COME FROM BEHIND, WIN 5TH IN A ROW
Friday 8:00PM June 14th, 2013
As the promise of free beer gets ever closer, the motivation of free pants led the Falcons to an 8-run victory over Xtreme on Friday night, their fifth in a row.

Led by the two-homer, 5-RBI night by Goliath, the Falcons (7-2) came from behind yet again to defeat an Xtreme-ly strong Xtreme team, 19-11. Papa Bear had 3 RBI and Dougothy pounded a porter in an all-around team offensive effort. It can not go without saying that Xtreme is very difficult to beat.

The Falcons started strong, jumping out to an early 3-0 lead after the top of the first. That lead quickly evaporated, however, as Xtreme showed they were there to play by scoring three of their own in the bottom half. Dougothys porter to lead off the second put the Falcons back in the lead but Xtreme jumped all over Cashleys pitching in the bottom half putting up a three spot to take a 6-4 lead.

The Falcons put up twos in the third and the fourth. Xtreme scored two in the third to hold the lead, but couldnt muster a run in the fourth bringing the score to 8-8 after that inning.

Smelling blood, the Falcons attacked. They put up a five spot in the fifth, a single in the sixth, and another fiver in the seventh. The Falcons defence clamped down and held Xtreme to three runs over the final three innings to save the victory.

Game Notes: Once again, Dougothy had to be home when the park lights came on, good thing he was already dressed for bed The Falcons scored in every inning Cashley had two runs scored, but didnt physically score either of them. Thanks go to SLF and Papa Bear Goliath had an outfield assist ("Like Bautista!" he says), cutting down a runner at second who was trying to take an extra base... The team managed a gritty victory despite being down their two most influential motivational speakers, Dont call me Dick and Dinners Wife One would think that a Friday night game would bring out the fans. Not everyone has no life, you know noted Mrs. SLF The Falcons welcomed alumnus Perry We keep the beer in the Frigault back for the evening, even though it wasnt alumni night
