There was a bit of nervousness felt by some going into the first regular season clash against the Storm on this Father's Day 5PM game.

Down a solid third of their lineup, with the proverbial carrot of free beer dangling, the Falcons were facing a Storm team that was surely looking to avenge their mid-season tournament loss to the Falcons and a Friday night "trick" loss to the Devils.

With two of the Falcons' most influential motivational speakers in attendance (Don't call me Dick and Dinner's Wife), some even thought ass-whoopin' type speeches might be needed at some points. But in the end, none were required as the Falcons were able to cruise to their 6th win in a row.

Up 5-4 going into the 4th, aided by some Storm struggles on the mound, the Falcons put up sixes in each of the 4th, 5th and 6th innings while holding the Storm to only 4 runs, making the final 23-8 after only 6 innings of play due to time constraints.

Game Notes: Being a 5PM game (and lights weren't due to come on for quite some time), Dougothy stuck around to collect his new shorts to go with his ruby red slippers...Record fan attendance for a regular season game, as several families came out to see what they've been reading about (on this site) for so long...Falcons reached base 8 times on walks...half of Storm's runs came from 2 Bob (a.k.a. Beast) HRs...2nd two HR game in row by Goliath has him up 3 on his Mash Brother (Our Only Friend)...4 RBIs a piece for all Falcons whose (real) first names start with "D"...2nd game in a row with no pizzas... With his hits in this game, Goliath has tied the (other) legendary Joe Dimaggio with a 56-game hit streak.
