assignment Falcons Bats Silent But Deadly in Close Victory Over Rebels

Papa Bear had a home run and 3 RBI and Tank had three hits and 2 RBI as the Falcons came from behind to beat the plucky Rebels 8-7 in the first of two on Sunday evening.

Coming off a big victory six days earlier, the Falcons (14-7) were sluggish to begin the game, allowing the Rebels to score two in the top of the first inning. Master Motivator Don’t call me Dick lied to the whole team repeatedly via comments on this website and then again in person before the game about having walk-up music queued up and ready to go for each Falcon batter. Disappointed in the lack of tunes, but not discouraged, the Falcons tied it up in the bottom of the first.

The Rebels continued to put up numbers in their turns to the plate, but the Falcons continued to respond, finally taking the lead in the bottom of the fifth after putting up their second three-spot of the game. The Falcon defence held the Rebels to zeroes after that to seal the win.

The Falcons didn’t have much time to celebrate the squeaker of a victory (blame the Taco Bell), as they had to immediately jump on FALCONS1 for a short flight to Hanetland to take on 2012 WMSPL Playoff Champions Hanet Plastics.

Game Notes: Making website comments under someone else’s name isn’t nice… Falcons financial auditor Timmy should expect a bill for new sunglasses… Iron Mike is conspicuously absent from games lately… ¡Saludos a nuestros seguidores en España!...
