It must be something in the complimentary champagne served on FALCONS1. Minutes after disembarking from the Falcons team plane, they exploded for 15 runs in the first two innings and never looked back in a 17-13 win over 2012 WMSPL Playoff Champions Hanet Plastics in the second of a doubleheader Sunday night.

Rather than simply saying a picture is worth a thousand words in a recap of a win over Hanet, we here at falconsslopitch.com prefer to actually write those thousand words. Or thereabouts.

The Falcons (15-7) sent 13 men to the plate in the top of the first inning, and another 12 in the second. But typical of the Falcons this season, the offence seemed quite happy to try to cruise out the victory on the efforts of two innings. The Hanets indeed showed they were who we thought they were, and had the Falcons defence scrambling late in the game as they put up eight over the final three innings to make it close.

Game Notes: Goliath had 5 RBI and Fo� Shizzle had 4 of his own, as the team had 6 doubles and 22 singles� Sending Mrs. SLF home didn�t help� The guy on the other side of the fence wearing the blue shirt DOES NOT play for Hanet� The free peanuts on FALCONS1 leave something to be desired... Don�t call me Dick�s proposed hunting trip was shot down quickly� Internet memes, sheesh!... Everyone loves story time�
