assignment Epic Comeback Secures Falcon Victory
Wednesday 8:00PM August 21st, 2013
Goliath hit career home run number 100 and the Falcons put up a huge number when it counted most as they came back from a nine run deficit in the top of the seventh to beat a hot hitting Coulas team 18-17 on Wednesday night.

Having already seen that both Storm and Xtreme won handily on Tuesday, the Falcons (24-9) knew they needed a victory to keep pace in the cutthroat Presidents Division. They began with a collective Wheres Tank?!, and proceeded to crap the bed for the first 6 innings.

The Falcons scored three runs in the first inning, but gave them right back on Mikes three run blast (his first in a while, from what I hear) in the bottom half of the inning. They scored another to take the lead.

The Falcons took the lead back in the top of the second, scoring two, but allowed the Bone Crushers to tie it up right away.

The offence and defence took a break after that, allowing Coulas to take a commanding seven run lead going into the top of the fifth. The Falcons scored three to shrink the deficit, but gave it back and more in the sixth.

With the Falcons down 9 runs in the 7th inning, Tank finally showed up, and it seems he brought the mojo with him. Beers on me if you guys win it! he said, and thats all the thirsty, thirsty Falcons needed to hear. Bringing to mind a similar epic comeback from down nine runs, the Falcons put up eight singles and three doubles and ten runs to take a very slim one run lead into the bottom of the seventh.

With the time limit approaching, the always classy Bone Crushers didnt pull any time consuming shenanigans to try to run the game into the limit, thus reverting the score back to the sixth inning. Cashley took the mound and delivered strike after strike, and set Coulas down in order to preserve the victory.

Absenteeism Report:
The Legend: Getting a legendary Brazilian
Our only friend: Getting less and less friendly by the game
Beardo: Crafting his own Manhattan Project
Tank: Enjoying the greatest birthday cake in the history of ever. What other cake would be worth missing the game?

Game Notes: True to his word, Tank bought a round after the big victory Time to schedule some defence practice Were eatin good, come Sunday Early ticket sales numbers for Sunday indicate a near-sellout Boy, sometimes these recaps take a while to appear, eh?
