assignment Falcons Big Comeback Victory Secures Sixth Straight Win
Monday 8:00PM August 26th, 2013
Million Dollar Bill had another perfect night at the plate, and Beaver, Cashley, and Goliath had three RBI each as the Falcons achieved the free beer milestone for the third and final time this season with a late inning comeback 16-9 victory over Mayhem on a foggy Tuesday night.

With the win, the Falcons (26-9) took the rubber match and the season series with a ever-increasingly difficult Mayhem team.

This reporter is going to stop mentioning how much the Falcons need to win, because every time it's written, the team comes out flatter than the Bonneville Salt Flats. The team allowed five Mayhem runs over the first two innings, while only responding with two of their own. After scoring a singleton in the bottom of the fourth, Mayhem blew up for a four-spot in the top of the fifth. To say the Falcon bench seemed deflated would be an understatement.

It's hard to tell what wakes a team up, and snaps them to attention. Is it the promise of free beer with a win? Is it the big cheque awaiting the President's Division Champion? Smelling salts? On this night, it seemed that it was the the fog rolling in. With the field looking like we were playing on the white cliffs of Dover, Dinner broke out his 100% perfect rendition of the zombie dance from Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' video. All the Falcons were hearing Vincent Price's voice running through their heads. They lurched and stumbled, and promptly put up two quick outs in the bottom of the fifth. That's where the fun started.

Ten straight hits led to nine runs, and the Falcons were in flight. They allowed only two hits and no runs in the top of the sixth, then put up another four of their own in the bottom half for the knock-out blow.

Absenteeism Report:
Beardo: FBI investigation
Our only friend: Preparing his Powerpoint presentation for Falcon MVP
The Legend: Washing the batmobile
Big Lungs: Chillin' out to the maxi

Game Notes: Million Dollar Bill is 6-for-6 over the last two games... Dinner's work with SLF on balls hit over his head seems to have been working... All videos of controversial plays has been deemed inconclusive...
