assignment Falcons Roll Over Shifters

Bird went yard twice and led the way with five ribbies as the Falcons beat the temporarily slumping Bradley Motors Shifters 19-5 on a muggy Wednesday night at K1 Stadium.

The Falcons had a nearly full boat, missing only Tank, who was living on the edge, tending to some risky business. Led by homers by Bird (obviously) and Our Only Friend, the Falcons jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, one they would not relinquish.

Bird poses with the Falcons new bat.

A chatty bench, full of levity and led by Big Cat, buoyed the Falcons to victory. If only the things they were saying were positive!

Game Notes: SLF made zero catches in RF, on zero opportunities... Dinner had 5 total bases... The Falcons enter Sunday's doubleheader only a half-game back of Sean's Division leading Storm, whom they play at 9:30... Seņior-Sevens: "Fly-Ball Pitcher"... Bird's one-dimensionality is turning the MVP vote into a two horse race... The proposed expansion of Casino Dougothy got a major funding boost tonight... Dinner totally could have stretched a single into a double in his last plate appearance, but a strained eyebrow held him back...
