WTF Was That?

Michel Poutine de la Baguette hit a monster 2-run shot into the right field sky for the only highlight of the evening as the Falcons fell and fell hard to the Non-Tranquility, Non-Camo'd A's on Opening Night by a score of 33-4.

The A's exploded out of the gate, putting up 8 runs and batting around in the first inning. The Falcons responded with a whimper in the bottom half, mustering only a single from Dinner.

It didn't get much better from there.

The Falcons' defence was error prone all over the diamond, with brief flashes of brilliance. Dinner made a spectacular sliding catch still had the presence of mind to double off the runner on second who left early. The infield turned two as well, as if by routine.

Lowlights for the A's included President Doom fouling out.

The team will lick their wounds and regroup for a trip to face the Rebels on Wednesday May 11 on K1 at 8 PM.

Rookie Report: Curtis lived up to the hype (there was little to none), going max effort in his first game. Michel Poutine de la Baguette showed off his brawn and introduced what would nicely be called an "unorthodox" pitching style. Caleb will mash when he figures out that these pitches aren't coming straight at him at 70+ MPH.

Cycle Watch: The last time a Falcon hit for the cycle was May 19, 2010.

Game Notes: Dinner was probed for comment after the game. "NEXT!" was his response... Flight restricted ball? One A's homer landed in the playground... SLF came up two triples short of Stumpy's FALCAST prediction.
