After scoring 14 runs in the bottom of the third inning, the Falcons nearly blew it but managed to hold on in a time-shortened 24-22 victory over the revamped Devils on Wednesday night.

The lax Falcon defence allowed the Devils 6 in the second inning and 9 in the sixth, which gave the Devils the lead after trailing 18-7 after 3. No lead is safe in slo-pitch, but some should be.

Poutine didn't have any triples, and for the second time this season, SLF had a three-bagger called back due to the ball trickling past the outfield fence. Junior Jenkins broke out going 4-for-5 with 4 RBI.

Between the skunks and the farts, the Falcon bench was odouriferous. And not in a good way.

Coming up THIS WEEKEND: The Falcons gird their loins to take the field of battle on K2 Sunday night fora double header against the two teams ahead of the Falcons in the WMSPL President's Division standings. They'll host Storm at 8, and play the visitors to Hanet at 9:30. Come on out and watch to see if SLF changes his pants between games!

Inside-the-park Home Run Watch: The last time a Falcon hit an inside-the-park home run was July 23, 2012. Not even a triple in this game, thanks to a lack of fencing around the outfield.
