assignment Triple City!

Colin made an impressive debut with 6 RBI, The Mattural hit 2 three-baggers, and The Nearly-Incredible Tulk broke out of his rookie slump with three hits as the Falcons rolled over the heavily-rebuilding ReMax Crossroads (formerly Xtreme) by a score of 33-18 in six innings.

After allowing ReMax to put up two runs in the top of the first, Poutine (audatiously sporting a cap of the hated Newcastle Admirals, an offence that should have cost him a pizza), needed some help from his offence. Four batters later, a triple from The Mattural notwithstanding, ReMax was back up having held the Falcons to a delicious doughnut in the first. The Falcon defence held strong in the top of the second. Leading off the bottom of two was SLF, who promptly flied out to the right-centre fielder. Remember this. The offensive floodgates opened up after that. The Falcons exploded for nine runs highlighted by back-to-back triples (perhaps a Falcon First!) by Hobo and The Mattural. It seemed that it was Everybody Gets A Triple Day, as the Falcons hit SIX of them. The inning was wrapped in a neat and tidy bow when SLF flied out to the same damn guy again to end the inning.

It continued after that. Eleven runs in the 4th, and another nine in the fifth. ReMax had seen enough. The Falcons have won their first two games in convincing fashion, but let's not start sucking each other's popscicles just yet. They've beaten the #11 and #12 ranked teams in the league's most-read power rankings column.

ReMax obviously drafted well, and hopefully they'll have as quick a rebuild as the Falcons had after losing more than half the team after the 2016 season.

Two Home Runs In One Inning Watch: The last time a Falcon hit two home runs in one inning was August 29, 2012.

Game Notes: The Mattural, as much as he wanted it, will NOT finish the season with a perfect 1.000 batting average... Very importantly, it was missed in the last recap but should be noted that L-Paq, missing left arm and all, has been at both games, rocking his jersey to show his support. Other injured players COULD take note of the commitment... Impressive attendance this evening, with 14 fans showing their support in the drizzle... Have you heard the one where Pikachu wasn't paying attention when Poutine hit that liner off the weeping tile? Cause if you haven't, you're in the minority... Too many more SFPs from Pikachu and he'll have his name changed to the more geographically appropriate "Shwa Boy".

The Hot (Take) Corner: Strawberry Shortcake (the dessert, not the toy), is garbage. Fight me. Strawberries are the worst of the "dessert fruits", and the cake itself is flavouress. Whipped cream on top? For what purpose? It's all trash. Give me a doughnut instead.

Stuff, Ranked: I'll rank something else when something else gets suggested.

I hit a triple as well. We hit more triples as a team in 4 innings than the Jays did in 2017. Triples for everyone!

Congrats to the Falcons on WIN #2

Only 23 more to go and everyone that bet OVER on the Falcons Season Win total (24.5) will be cashing a winning ticket.

70% of bets made were on the Under - you will recall that the line originally opened at 25.5 but was bet down to 24.5.

SLF TRUMP should definitely rank the top 10 Home Runs that he's hit in his WMSPL career. Oh wait - - - - - - - Just rank the 8 you've got.

SLF, what did you do to Doug's mom and/or sister to draw this level of ire?

Maybe he's mad that the Falcons dropped the Admirals as a minor league affiliate?

I’m going to stay out of this as much as I despise both culprits. I think both franchises are well run and great to work for.
