Storm WOULD NOT suffer the humiliation of being swept in a doubleheader by the Falcons, squeaking out a victory in the nightcap 20-19.

Riding high on their early victory, the Falcons came out swinging in the top of the first inning. Highlighted by Goliath's 3-run bomb, the Falcons recorded only a single out before plating the league maximum six. Storm wouldn't take that kind of crap lying down. After Bob popped out to left to open things up, Duran hit, hold onto your butts, a triple. He wouldn't be allowed to raise his heartrate to score, though, because Craig knocked him in with a home run. In the end, Storm tied the game with a six-pack of their own.

The Falcons began the top of the second with four straight singles and cleared the bases with Grahambo's 3-run shot, the team's second such dinger of the game. A four-spot gave the Falcons back the lead. Storm got most of those back on Duran's 3-run dinger to left, but ended the inning trailing 10-9.

The Falcons managed a single and nothing more in the third. Storm did the opposite, maxing out at 6 to go ahead 15-9.

In the fourth, the Falcons bats returned. This time it was Poutine who hit the Falcons' third three-run homer of the game to highlight the Falcons' 4-run fourth. This brought them to within one. The Falcon defence held Storm to a delicious doughnut to keep the game ever-so-close going into the open innings.

Storm scored three in the fifth to take a four-run lead.

In the sixth, Poutine grunted his second three-run shot of the game, the fourth such bomb for the Falcons, to bring the Falcons to within one, AGAIN. Storm wasn't having it, though. They scored two in the bottom of the sixth, and the Falcons would have their work cut out for them if they wanted to sweep the night.

The Falcons were able to get a little something going in the top of the seventh, beginning with a couple singles that were later plated. But with the tying run standing handsomely on second base, Dunner ended the game with a line-out to left.
