Broadway beat the Falcons for the second time in three days, handing the Falcons their sixth straight loss. In a high scoring affair, Broadway came out on top, 25-24.

Despite putting up a delicious doughnut in the first inning, the Falcons offence was clicking. Big numbers in most innings were promising. Unfortunately, Broadway was even more consistent, and was able to make a play on defence at the end of the game to shut down the Falcons’ potential game winning rally. In the bottom of the seventh, down eight runs, two of the first three Falcons to bat flew out. Then a string of hits put up seven runs with two out and just as things were getting exciting, SLF was gunned down trying to go first to third on a shallow single to right.

Game notes: This is the second time this season the Falcons have scored at least 22 runs and lost… Poutine might be too old to run, but he can still hit… At six games and counting, this is the Falcons’ longest losing streak since July 11-27, 2021.
