Poutine saw one pitch, and took one swing in the bottom of the seventh and sent the ball into the oaks to walk off the Expos in a 13-12 Falcons win on Tuesday night.

Dr J went without a triple, marking the second straight game he's failed to do so since breaking out on the weekend.

The game didn't begin well for the home team, giving up a MAX6 to the ever-improving Expos. Though they managed two in response, the Falcons' bats weren't very lively. The Expos added to their lead with a singleton in the second, and held the Falcons to a delicious doughnut in the bottom half.

In the top of the third, the Expos again put up a crooked number, plating two and taking a 9-2 lead.

This is where the Falcons' offence finally showed up. The home side nearly batted around, putting up a MAX6 to close the gap to only one run, 9-8. In an inning that ended with the other team admonishing themselves to "see more than one pitch", the Expos sent only four men to the plate and didn't score. The Falcons manufactured a couple runs to take a lead, highlighted by Barry Guerrero Jr's triple that should have been a double but Barry forgot we're trying to funnel all the RBIs to Dunner. Dunner did get the go-ahead RBI anyway, his third of the night. After four, the Falcons led 10-9.

After a scoreless fifth, the Expos reawakened to score three runs on an impressive Dharsan home run (this one counted!) to take a precarious 12-10 lead into the bottom of the sixth. Three singles turned into two runs for the Falcons to tie the game going into the seventh inning.

In the seventh, the Expos sent up the top of their order. With runners on second and third and two out, the Falcons used the same questionable strategy Triple Play used two days previously by intentionally walking a batter in a regular season game. That loaded the bases to intensify the situation. Fortunately for the Falcons D, the next batter grounded out to Goalie Guerrero Jr to end the threat.

In classic Poutine fashion, Mike strolled to the plate already late for the cooler and saw one pitch in the bottom of the seventh that he grunted over the right field fence to end it.

Game Notes: With 92 RBI this season, Dunner needs a really good -- though not impossible -- night against Hanet next week to reach the Falcons record of 99 RBI in a season... The Falcons need a win (or some help) next week to punch their ticket to a President's Division seeding in 2024
