Dunner got a hit, but the team traded that moment of relief for a Grahambo hammy in a 12-8 weeknight win over Inglorious Batters.

At least the weather was decent.

Speed Bump continued his assault of any runner who dares challenge his arm with his third (or fourth?) outfield assist of the season, gunning down the Batters' Kyle, who dared to try to take an extra base.

Also: we had 13 players out! Can you even believe it?

Onto what happened: The Falcon D began the game strong, holding the Batters to delicious doughnuts in the first two innings, and only two in the third. Meanwhile, the offence built a decent foundation, scoring two in the first which would normally be highlighted by a Barry Guerrero Jr triple, but Dunner broke his 0-for-7 streak with a solid single, and somewhere an angel got its wings. The O continued with three in the second on a string of singles.

The Batters took a 7-5 lead in the fourth scoring five, but the Falcons responded with four of their own to re-take a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

GAME NOTES: In the Falcons' three-run fifth, Grahambo came up lame trying to beat out a ground ball to short, clutching the hammy and later dropping trou in the dugout so Dunner could have a closer look. Get well soon, Grahambo!... Kevin (remember him?) also gunned down a runner trying to take three for his first Falcons highlight.
