Coulas walked off the Falcons, securing a 13-12 victory by scoring Clay's triple with a single of Shohei's shin. The biggest difference in the game was that Coulas' big inning was bigger than the Falcons' big inning.

Beginning at the beginning, the visiting Falcons went *FART NOISE*, *FART NOISE*, *FART NOISE* to open the game, hanging a doughnut in the top of the first. Coulas came ready to play, and after the first two batters were retired, strung together a few hits to score a run, win the inning, and take the lead.

It wouldn't last.

In the top of the second, five Falcons singles turned into 3 Falcons runs, and 2/3 of a pizza. After depleting the kitty on Sunday, it was a welcome addition. The Falcons managed to work around a Coulas single in the bottom half, and after two, the visitors were up 3-1.

With the heart of the order due up in the third inning, expectations of a crooked number were high. And much like the expectations of a teen by a parent, they went unfulfilled. Two singles were stranded and the Falcons hung yet another doughnut. The bottom of the Coulas order, heroes all night, started double, single to score the only run of the inning, and reduce their deficit to one run. After three, the Falcons led 3-2.

In the fourth, the Falcons dinked and dunked 5 singles and turned them into three runs. The creamy middle of the Coulas order answered with a couple runs themselves, and we had a pretty good game going. After four, the betting favourites were up 6-4 and were about to get wrecked.

Three more singles off ADHD Chris gave the Falcons their seventh run of the game. But in Coulas' bottom half, the floodgates opened. Double, fly out, triple, RBI groundout, single, walk, single, single, triple, single and when it was all said and done, Coulas had scored eight to take a 12-7 lead.

The Falcons, awake, answered. They tied it up in the top of the sixth scoring five highlighted by Poutine's RBI triple and Beatty's 2-RBI double. Then the girthy Falcon D shut down Coulas in the bottom of the sixth to set up a nailbiter seventh inning.

With fourteen minutes to go before the WMSPL-mandated 85-minute time limit looming, Time Out suggested taking a few pitches and sending lots of batters to the plate in hopes that the worst-case scenario was a tie after running into the limit. It wouldn't be the last time in the seventh inning where good advice was immediately ignored: Shohei led off with a single and was wiped out by Million Dollar Bill's FC. Two fly outs followed, and all told, the Falcons sent four batters to the plate and used about 3 minutes of time.

Needing a hold to secure the tie, the majestic Falcon D took the field for the bottom of the seventh. Coulas had the very bottom of their order leading off. More generic coaching was offered: Keep it in front, no triples. So of course, Clay led off with a triple to put the winning run on third with no one out and the top of the order coming up. With the outfield a gunner-depth and the infield shooting 4 on anything, the Falcons were going to need a miracle to walk away undefeated.

Spoiler alert if you already read the first paragraph of the recap: Rob hit a comebacker toward Shohei who made a kick-save (a beauty?) to where Time Out used to be standing, and Clay scored the walk-off winner for the home side.

GAME NOTES: Coulas is a classy team to lose to... As always, Grahambo's timeless advice rings true: It's a stupid game anyways... Fans of the PBLO were excited to see two of the league's stars in attendance, noting consistently how much old people are bad at sports, not realizing they'll be there eventually as well.
